Qigong — Inner Alchemy Series 2022

3 Nov – 29 Nov 2022

Tao Garden Workshop with legendary Taoist Master Mantak Chia

Grandmaster Mantak Chia welcomes you to Tao Garden for the 4-week Workshop from November 3rd to 29th, 2022.

Qigong training practice contains 2 main components: Inner Alchemy and physical practice. In this series you will discover Inner Alchemy – the internal work of Qigong practitioners. It aims to promote the circulation of Qi (Life force) throughout the body and use this Qi for healing purposes. Inner Alchemy practice is much more challenging than physical practice and can be much more intensive.

In the workshops of Week 1 you’ll learn:

  • — Taoist breathing exercises to increase and harmonize your Qi (energy) flow
  • — Simple, powerful Taoist techniques for using sexual energy to strengthen your body, mind and spirit.
  • — To develop grounding and feel centered and in control of your life
  • — To combine the energies of sex and love

These foundational practices will bring you back to your body wisdom and awaken your Qi (Life force). Practices include Inner Smile Meditation, 6 Healing Sounds Meditation, Microcosmic Orbit and Taoist 5 Elements theory.
Sexual energy provides an extremely powerful means for physical rejuvenation and accessing higher spiritual energy. Mantak Chia reveals the secrets of recycling your life-essence in order to increase longevity, improve your quality of life and love-making.

Week 2. 4 Qigong forms: Craniosacral, 5 Element, Wisdom and Stem Cell

In the workshops of Week 2 you’ll learn to:

  • — Increase flexibility of your spine and flow of spinal fluid
  • — Optimize your nervous system and the body’s energetic flow
  • — Transform excess brain activity to revitalize the organs
  • — Strengthen your immune system with self care practices
  • — Activate all of the internal organs and meridians ~ integrating the 5 elements within

Craniosacral Qigong form integrates physical energy and emotion in the cosmic flow. It offers simple, powerful self-care practices by focusing on the cranial and sacral pumps and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid.

The 5 Element Qigong form involves an extensive range of movement and breathwork that activates all of the internal organs and soft tissue related to the 5 Elements. Opening the joints, relaxing the muscles, releasing tension and strain that build up from everyday living.

With Wisdom Qigong, you will use Taoist techniques to double or triple your mind power and gain vitality in your body and organs. One of the techniques is to connect with your abdominal brain to reduce energy loss.

With Stem Cell Qigong you will discover how to strengthen your immune system. By gently using a hitting technique to the body and organs, the old, sick and damaged cells will be broken down and then completely repaired by your stem cells.

Week 3. 4 Qigong forms: Tan Tien, Tao Yin, Cosmic Healing and Golden Elixir

In the workshops of Week 3 you’ll learn to:

  • — Connect with your abdomen as your first brain, enhancing its ability to store energy
  • — Take in Universal Qi and emit Qi from your body to help others
  • — Develop elasticity of tendons, ligaments and associated muscles - resulting in improved flexibility and power in your movement patterns
  • — Absorb the essence of Nature elixir, Cosmic elixir and Universal Elixir

With Tan Tien Qigong you will learn the power of your Tan Tien - the center of activation and balancing of primal energies. The Tan Tien is a container of Qi and deserves adequate attention for its essential role in our energy management. You’ll learn the 11 animal postures and the Tiger and Dragon Breath to center and refine your energies and emotions.

Tao Yin is a type of Taoist yoga that stimulates the flow of Qi in the meridians - the energy pathways of the body. It coordinates the breath, awareness and mind-eye-heart power with exercises of the spine to leave you feeling more relaxed and revitalized.

Buddha Palm (Cosmic Healing Qigong) is a healing form. It trains the practitioner in moving and channeling Qi. As you learn this form, you’ll feel Qi coming into your body and hands and be able to project Qi with your fingers.

The Golden Elixir Qigong uses the energies of the hair, sense organs and saliva to strengthen the physical body. Golden elixir is the mixture of saliva, other hormonal fluids and external essences. This elixir is a major transformer for higher spiritual work and has the power to heal oneself. The practice involves breathwork, swallowing saliva and techniques of internal power using the fingers and palms (Five Finger Kung Fu).

Week 4. Cosmic Vision and Iron Shirt

In the workshops of Week 4 you will learn to:

  • — Strengthen your body and gain grounding and rooting to help you in your daily life
  • — Develop elasticity to channel and store Qi in your tendons
  • — Repair damaged tendons and joints without strenuous movement
  • — Enhance your life force with a sexual energy massage and chi weight lifting

Iron Shirt I is a transformative practice that strengthens the internal organs, establishes roots to the earth’s energy, and unifies physical, mental and spiritual health.

Iron Shirt Qigong II (Tendon Nei Gong) is about healthy tendons that are the foundation of true strength in the body. Strong and supple tendons and open joints allow more space to store raw energy, which can then be transformed into higher creative energy and spiritual energy.

Bone Marrow Nei Gong (Iron Shirt III) is an advanced alchemy practice that involves increasing, activating and regenerating the bone marrow. We use sexual energy to strengthen the bones and reverse the effects of ageing through the production of sex hormones.
