Universal Healing Tao System Overview

The Universal Healing Tao system is not a collection of separate workshops.
It is a progressive path of Taoist training developed by Grandmaster Mantak Chia to guide students step by step in cultivating energy, emotional balance, vitality, and higher levels of inner awareness.

About Inner Alchemy Qigong Series

This training is designed as a progressive introduction to the core practices of Taoist Inner Alchemy Qigong. The program follows a clear path – beginning with methods that calm the nervous system and restore emotional balance, then learning how to circulate Qi through the body, and finally strengthening the internal structure needed to store and cultivate energy.

The training is practical and experiential. You will work with essential Taoist Qigong methods – including the Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, Microcosmic Orbit meditation, dynamic Qigong forms, Tai Chi, Iron Shirt, and Tan Tien practices – to regulate the nervous system, improve emotional balance, and build sustainable vitality.

Each week adds a new layer of skill: first you learn how to release stress and activate the body’s natural energy flow, then how to strengthen the organs and internal systems through Qigong forms, and finally how to develop grounding, internal structure, and the capacity to store Qi for deeper Taoist practice.

Program

Week 1 – Taoist Fundamentals & Inner Alchemy Foundations

  • 5 November | Introduction
  • 6–10 November | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia
  • 11 November | Review class with UHT Instructor
  • 32 UHT Cerification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review class)

What You Will Learn:
– How to calm the nervous system and stabilize emotional energy through Taoist meditation practices
– How to activate the Microcosmic Orbit and circulate Qi through the body’s main energy channel
– How to transform negative emotions through the Inner Smile practice
– How to release internal heat and organ tension with the Six Healing Sounds
– How to reconnect with the body’s natural wisdom and awaken life-force energy
– How to experience direct support for Qi circulation through Energy Transmission

In this week, the training focuses on the essential practices of Taoist Inner Alchemy that restore internal balance and activate the body’s natural energy flow. You begin by learning how to regulate emotions and calm the nervous system through two of the most important Taoist meditation methods – the Inner Smile and the Six Healing Sounds.

The Inner Smile teaches how to reconnect with the organs through awareness, breath, and positive emotional energy. By directing a gentle inner smile toward the body, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce internal stress, and restore a natural emotional balance.

The Six Healing Sounds practice complements this process by releasing excess heat, tension, and emotional congestion from the organs. Each sound is connected with a specific organ, color, and healing quality, helping restore harmony within the internal systems.

You will also learn to activate and circulate energy through the Microcosmic Orbit, the primary energy pathway running through the spine and front channel of the body. This orbit functions as the main energetic highway that distributes Qi to the organs, glands, and internal systems.

Throughout the week, Grandmaster Mantak Chia supports this process through Energy Transmission, helping participants open energy channels and experience the direct flow of Qi.

By the end of the week, you establish a stable energetic foundation. Learning to calm the mind, release emotional tension, and circulate Qi correctly creates the essential base for all further Taoist Qigong and Inner Alchemy practices.

Week 2 – Inner Alchemy Qigong Level I

  • 13–15 November | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia
  • 16 November | Review class with UHT Instructor
  • 20 UHT Cerification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review class)

What You Will Learn:
– How to improve spinal flexibility and stimulate the flow of cerebrospinal fluid
– How to activate the Five Element organ system through movement and breathwork
– How to harmonize the nervous system and regulate internal energy flow
– How to strengthen the immune system through Taoist self-healing practices
– How to increase mental clarity and connect with the body’s abdominal brain
– How to integrate physical movement, breath, and internal awareness in Qigong practice

In this week, the training introduces Inner Alchemy Qigong Level I, a set of dynamic practices designed to strengthen the body’s internal systems and improve the circulation of energy throughout the entire organism. The program combines movement, breathwork, and internal awareness to support vitality, flexibility, and energetic balance.

You will practice Craniosacral Qigong, a form that works with the cranial and sacral pumps to support the natural flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This practice helps integrate physical energy with emotional balance while improving spinal flexibility and nervous system regulation.

The Five Element Qigong form activates the internal organs and their associated meridians through coordinated movement and breathing. By opening the joints, relaxing muscles, and releasing accumulated tension, this practice helps restore harmony within the organ systems and reconnect the body with the Five Element cycle.

In Wisdom Qigong, you learn Taoist techniques for strengthening mental focus and internal awareness. By connecting the mind with the abdominal brain, the practice helps reduce excessive mental activity and redirect energy toward the organs and lower energy center.

You will also explore Stem Cell Qigong, a self-healing practice that stimulates the body’s regenerative capacity. Through gentle tapping and activation of specific body areas, the practice helps break down damaged cellular patterns and supports the natural repair processes of the body.

Together, these forms strengthen the internal structure of the body, harmonize the nervous system, and improve the circulation of Qi – creating greater resilience, vitality, and energetic balance.

Week 3 – Tai Chi, Iron Shirt & Tan Tien Qigong

  • 20–22 November | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia
  • 23 November | Review class with UHT Instructor
  • 20 UHT Cerification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review class)

What You Will Learn:
– How to develop internal structure and rooting through Tai Chi practice
– How to strengthen the body through grounding and spiraling energy movement
– How to connect with Earth energy and stabilize the body’s energetic field
– How to activate and strengthen the Lower Tan Tien as the body’s main energy center
– How to store and consolidate Qi for deeper internal cultivation
– How to refine energy and emotional balance through Tan Tien breathing practices

In this week, the training focuses on strengthening the internal body and developing the ability to stabilize and store energy. The practices combine classical Taoist movement training with internal energy cultivation methods that build grounding, structure, and energetic capacity.

You will learn the Tai Chi Inner Structure and practice the simple 12-movement form taught by Grandmaster Mantak Chia. Tai Chi functions as both a martial art and a moving meditation. Through slow, continuous movements, you develop rooting, spiraling force, and coordination between body, breath, and mind. This practice integrates the physical body, the energy body, and the awareness of movement as an expression of Tao.

The training also includes Iron Shirt Qigong, one of the most important practices for developing physical grounding and internal strength. Originally developed within martial arts training, Iron Shirt builds the body’s ability to connect with Earth energy, stabilize posture, and store Qi within the internal structure.

You will also practice Tan Tien Qigong, which focuses on activating and strengthening the Lower Tan Tien – the body’s primary energy reservoir. Through specific breathing methods, including Tiger and Dragon Breath and a series of animal postures, you learn how to center the mind in the abdomen and consolidate Qi in the body’s energetic core.

Together, these practices develop internal stability, grounding, and the ability to store energy. By strengthening the Tan Tien and rooting the body’s structure, participants build the energetic foundation required for deeper Taoist training and higher levels of internal cultivation.

Why This Retreat Is Structured This Way

In many Qigong trainings, these practices are taught separately – emotional balance in one seminar, moving forms in another, Tai Chi and Iron Shirt somewhere else.

Here, they are brought together as one clear progression.

You first learn how to calm the nervous system, regulate emotions, and open the body’s main energy pathways through the Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, and Microcosmic Orbit.

You then strengthen the organs, spine, and internal systems through dynamic Inner Alchemy Qigong forms that improve circulation, flexibility, and energetic balance.

Finally, you develop grounding, internal structure, and the ability to store Qi through Tai Chi, Iron Shirt, and Tan Tien Qigong.

Each week prepares the next. Nothing is isolated.

This progression allows you to build Taoist practice step by step – from relaxation and energy flow, to internal strengthening, to rootedness and energy storage.

You do not simply learn separate techniques.
You leave with a practical foundation for long-term Qigong practice, greater vitality, and deeper internal development.

Who This Training Is For
This training is designed for participants who want to build a structured foundation in Taoist Qigong and Inner Alchemy practices. The program progressively develops internal awareness, energy circulation, and the ability to stabilize and strengthen the body’s energetic system.

It is especially suitable for those who want to:
– Build a stable energetic foundation through classical Taoist Qigong and Inner Alchemy practices
– Learn how to regulate emotions and calm the nervous system through meditation and breathwork
– Develop the ability to circulate and store Qi through practices such as the Microcosmic Orbit and Tan Tien cultivation
– Strengthen vitality and internal balance through movement-based Qigong forms
– Improve body awareness, grounding, and energetic stability through Tai Chi and Iron Shirt training
– Study directly with Grandmaster Mantak Chia within the Universal Healing Tao system

This training is ideal for beginners as well as committed practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of Qigong and develop a solid base for further Taoist practices.
Who This Training Is Not For
This training is not designed for those looking for quick results or simplified techniques without structured practice.

It is also not suitable for those who:
– Are looking for entertainment or dramatic mystical experiences rather than practical training
– Prefer purely physical exercise without internal energy work
– Are unwilling to engage in consistent, step-by-step practice
– Expect theory without personal practice and direct experience

Taoist Qigong training requires patience, presence, and respect for the gradual cultivation process that defines the Taoist tradition.

The Supporting Force of Energy Transmission

The students participating in Master Chia’s classes frequently report experiencing the Primordial Light and Sound for deep energetic healing. These are the foundations of his Taoist teaching.

“This light connects everything with one another and can be programmed and sent to anyone for healing. I connect with higher-dimensional energy, compress it, and then transmit it. No matter where people are, they will receive it because we are all connected under the same universe. This light has the power to give wisdom and healing. I will walk them through the entire process.” — Mantak Chia

The Violet Light is a high vibrational energy from the universe, also known as the Wisdom Light. It helps to regenerate organs, balance emotions, and awaken inner clarity.

Even if you can’t yet harness this energy on your own, you can receive its benefits through Master Chia’s transmission-no matter where in the world you are.
