About Chi Nei Tsang Retreat

This retreat is designed as a progressive Taoist healing training focused on the Chi Nei Tsang system. The program follows a clear therapeutic path – from developing abdominal sensitivity and foundational organ work in CNT I, to releasing deep stagnation and “Chasing the Winds” in CNT II, and finally expanding into full musculo-tendon vibrational therapy through Tok Sen in CNT III.

The training is practical and hands-on. You will work directly with structured Chi Nei Tsang techniques – activating the Healing Hands and Magnetic Tan Tien, opening the Eight Wind Gates, assessing abdominal pulses, releasing congestion in the intestines and diaphragm, and restoring circulation of Qi and blood.

Each level deepens precision and therapeutic capacity. First, you learn to release abdominal blockages and restore organ function. Then you develop deeper techniques to discharge trapped wind and stagnation in tissues. Finally, you expand into vibrational Tok Sen methods to release structural tension in muscles, tendons, and energy lines.

By the end of the retreat, you establish a solid technical foundation in the Chi Nei Tsang system – developing sensitivity, structural understanding, and the ability to work safely and effectively within the Universal Healing Tao healing framework.

Program

Week 1 – Chi Nei Tsang I (Internal Organ Chi Massage)

Schedule

  • 30 July | 19:00–20:00 | Introduction
  • 31 July – 4 August | 14:00–18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia
  • 5 August | 10:00 - 12:00 - Review class with Senior Instructor
  • 14:00 - 16:00 - Practice class supervised by Senior Instructor
  • 36 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review & practice class)

What You Will Learn:

– How to activate the Healing Hands and the Magnetic Tan Tien
– How to open the Eight Wind Gates around the navel
– How to locate and work with the Navel and Tan Tien Pulse
– How to release abdominal congestion using core CNT hand techniques
– How to detoxify the small and large intestine
– How to release the diaphragm and improve abdominal breathing
– How to stimulate abdominal lymphatic drainage
– How to release deep tension in the psoas muscles

In this week, the training focuses on the foundations of Chi Nei Tsang I – Internal Organ Chi Massage. You begin by activating the Healing Hands and Magnetic Tan Tien to develop sensitivity in the palms and fingers . This establishes the energetic connection required for safe abdominal work.

You will learn how to open the Eight Wind Gates and assess the navel structure and pulls . Through structured hand techniques – scooping, spiraling, rocking, kneading, shaking and patting – you work to release congestion, excessive heat, and emotional tension stored in the abdomen .

Special focus is given to the small intestine, large intestine, diaphragm, abdominal aorta, lymphatic system, and psoas muscles . By restoring circulation of Qi and blood in the abdominal area, organ systems regain functional balance.

This week establishes the technical and structural foundation of CNT practice. By learning how to assess, release, and regulate abdominal energy safely, you create the basis for deeper organ work and advanced Chi Nei Tsang levels.

Week 2 – Chi Nei Tsang II ( Chasing the Winds)

Schedule

  • 7–11 August | 14:00–18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia
  • 12 August | 10:00 - 12:00 - Review class with Senior Instructor
  • 14:00 - 16:00 - Practice class supervised by Senior Instructor
  • 36 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops + review & practice class)

What You Will Learn:

– How to locate and discharge the Twelve Winds from the body
– How to use the elbow technique to release deep stagnation
– How to activate specific acupressure and pulse points
– How to improve lymphatic and blood circulation
– How to release trapped wind from the abdomen and organs
– How to project fresh Qi into the vital organs and glands

In this week, the training advances into Chi Nei Tsang II, focusing on the practice known as “Chasing the Winds.” According to the CNT II system, winds represent trapped pathological energy stored in the tissues and organs .

You will learn how to identify the pathways of the Twelve Winds and discharge them using structured techniques, including the CNT elbow method . This deeper pressure work helps break up long-standing blockages and restore proper Qi, lymphatic, and blood flow.

The training also includes activation of acupressure and pulse points connected to organ function . After releasing stagnant energy, you learn how to inject and circulate fresh Qi back into the organs and glands to support functional balance.

This week builds directly upon CNT I. By learning to chase and discharge the Winds, you develop deeper therapeutic precision and expand your ability to work with chronic stagnation within the Chi Nei Tsang system.

Prior knowledge of CNT I is recommended for participation.

Week 3 – Chi Nei Tsang III (Healing Harmony Tok Sen )

Schedule

  • 14–16 August | 14:00–18:00 | Workshops with Grandmaster Mantak Chia
  • No review class
  • 18 UHT Certification Hours (morning qigong + evening session + workshops)

What You Will Learn:

– How to apply Tok Sen vibration techniques to muscles and tendons
– How to work along the Sen Sib energy lines
– How to release paravertebral and lumbar tension
– How to treat neck, shoulder, and scapular tendon tightness
– How to release stagnation in hips, thighs, knees, and lower limbs
– How to use specific hammer and pestle techniques for different body areas
– How to improve circulation of blood and Qi through vibrational therapy

In this week, the training focuses on Chi Nei Tsang III – Healing Harmony Tok Sen. Tok Sen uses wooden hammer and pestle tools to transmit mechanical vibration into muscles, tendons, and energy lines .

You will learn how to work in different body positions – prone, supine, side lying, and sitting – applying structured hammer techniques along the paravertebral muscles, lumbar region, hamstrings, calves, abdomen, chest, shoulders, arms, and neck . The vibration penetrates deeper than manual pressure alone and helps release tight tendons and compressed tissues.

Special focus is placed on working along the Sen Sib lines and addressing common conditions such as neck tension, shoulder tightness, lumbar pain, knee discomfort, and muscle stiffness . Different hammer types and angles are used depending on the muscle or tendon being treated.

This week expands Chi Nei Tsang practice from abdominal organ work into full musculo-tendon-meridian therapy. By learning Tok Sen techniques, you develop the ability to release deep structural tension and restore proper circulation of Qi and blood throughout the body.

Prior knowledge of CNT I is recommended for participation.
