Chi Kung Orbit – Qi Gong Spin Cycle
by Colin Drown
The moon orbits our planet; earth orbits our sun; our sun and solar system orbits around the center of our Milky Way galaxy.
Everything spins in our galaxy.
We have billions, billions and more billions of atoms in our bodies, all spinning. The small parts of an atom spin also. Our organs are made up of atoms spinning, spinning.
We were born spiraling out of our mother’s birth canal. Inside of us we had a cardiovascular system, nervous system and much more. These systems ran in specific circuits and we also had the “small heavenly cycle” which we know as the Microcosmic Orbit. Just as our blood flows throughout the cardiovascular pathways, the life energy we know as Chi circulates through our Orbit. Just as a particular life style can enhance the performance of the movement of blood and oxygen so can our Qi Gong practices support our Chi flow.
When we stand in our Iron Shirt stance we are rooted in the earth, centered in our Tan Tien and lifting up to sun, moon, stars, the universe. This blending of the Inner Nature with the Outer Nature produces the Macrocosmic Orbit. Earth energy spins up the legs and so up the spine (Governor Channel) to the crown and spirals out to the Universe. And Universal energy spirals down to our crown and the front channel of the Orbit (Functional). And so our micro orbit and macro orbit spin.
We can improve our Iron Shirt Chi Kung spinning Chi through the Inner Smile and Six Healing Sounds. They will transform the negative into positive. The Fusion practices will further refine our energy through spinning Pakuas. Iron Shirt and the Microcosmic and Macrocosmic Orbits are powerful self-healing tools that anyone (no matter what age) can learn with diligent practice.
At dawn see through almost closed eyes the Sun rising through the trees. Stand in the Chi Kung, and feel the earth spinning on its axis, spinning, spinning to face the new morning. Align your structure and smile out to life-giving Sun and smile into the Orbit. Smiling into the new day.
